World Hepatitis Day – July 28

Observed annually on July 28, World Hepatitis Day aims to raise awareness about hepatitis, its global burden, and the need for prevention and treatment. The day serves as a platform for global action against hepatitis, which currently impacts over 300 million people worldwide and causes 1 million deaths annually.

The 2026 theme “Hepatitis Can’t Wait” emphasizes the urgency of addressing hepatitis.

On this day, the United Nations Association – Pasadena Chapter invites you to answer this question: What is one action you can commit to this year to help break down the barriers preventing people from accessing the testing and care they need?
